Actress, dancer and writer JULIE NEWMAR is considered by many to be
one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is known for her stylish
and original portrayl of Catwoman on the popular TV series BATMAN.
In the early 1950's, Newmar's mother, Ziegfeld Girl Helen Jesmer drove
the young Julie to Oxford, Connecticut so that her daughter could be
photographed by ALFRED CHENEY JOHNSTON, the same man who had taken her
portrait decades before in 1920. This beautiful collection of prints
is the result of those photo sessions.
